Isabella is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a master's in public health at San Diego Polytechnic, and is one semester away from graduating. She has worked as a tutor to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $2,150.
The registrar has said Isabella can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Isabella has a top-ten-percent average, and a department head has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Isabella would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.
Isabella isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the San Diego Polytechnic bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.

• Final term tuition: $1,630
