I served six years in the air force and was discharged in 2023 with hearing damage and PTSD. I have been waiting eleven months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place. I have a plan: a trained service dog and handler course. The quote I have comes to $600. I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces. I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing. Money will be paid to the training provider and the landlord directly. Where the $600 goes: • Housing deposit and first month: $210 • Essential household items: $80 • Training provider fees: $310 You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it. - Idowu

Updates from Idowu

  1. Good news. Because of your gifts ($76 in total) the plan for training provider fees is now scheduled. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.

  2. Update from Ibadan: the first invoice got paid this week. We're at 2% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.
