Halima is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a computer science degree at Ibadan University, and is one term away from graduating. She has worked as a library assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $750. The registrar has said Halima can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Halima has a distinction average, and an academic advisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Halima would lose her place and scholarship eligibility. Halima isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Ibadan University bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $750 goes: • Outstanding tuition balance: $310 • Final term tuition: $390 • Exam and lab fees: $35 • Textbooks and materials: $15 If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.
