Help Eliana move out of an unsafe apartment this Wednesday

A short, concrete way to help: a few hours of lifting and loading in Laredo.

After a break-in at the old place, I found a safe, affordable apartment in Laredo, and the lease starts on Wednesday. I have a teenager and a toddler, a few pieces of furniture and no money for movers. I'm hoping for a few strong people for about four hours. If you have a van or pickup, that would help enormously - I'll cover fuel. The old place is on the fourth floor walk-up and the new place has an elevator. We'll do it in two trips. Lunch and cold drinks are on me. I know this is a lot to ask of strangers. I'd be happy to share references from my landlord and my employer. Thank you for reading my story.

  • I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. Wish I lived closer to Davao City so I could bring a meal. All the best.
