Eduardo was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in July. The oncology team at Guarulhos Regional Medical Center has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in October. He will be away from work for about 7 weeks. Eduardo is 28, worked as a primary school teacher until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Guarulhos Regional Medical Center 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $2,100 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $960 • Household costs while unable to work: $390 • Scans and lab work: $550 • Transport to Guarulhos Regional Medical Center: $200 Thank you for reading my story.

        • stay strong, Lorena. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.
