Help Dinesh get back to civilian life: housing deposit and training
After fourteen years of service, Dinesh is raising funds for a trained service dog and handler course.

I served fourteen years in the marines and was discharged in 2024 with a back injury. I have been waiting fourteen months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a trained service dog and handler course. The quote I have comes to $450.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
Money will be paid to the training provider and the landlord directly.
Where the $450 goes:
• Housing deposit and first month: $145
• Essential household items: $60
• Training provider fees: $245
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

Best of luck, Dinesh. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I'm in public service myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. All the best.
Best of luck, Dinesh. Your post was clear and honest. God bless
Good luck, Dinesh. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too.
you're not alone, Dinesh. Hope you get there.
Hang in there. This could happen to any of us. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected!
keep going. Hope you get there. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Take care.
Thinking of you and your family. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Greetings from Bakersfield.
sending love, Dinesh. Shared this with my family. I have a 12 year old who wants to send good wishes too
A colleague of mine might know someone for this in Delhi. I'll ask around and let you know!
It takes guts to ask. Well done. I'm in retail myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you!
Wishing you peace. Shared it with a few friends. I hope October is when things finally get easier. All the best.
