Daniela was diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer in March. The oncology team at Vitória da Conquista Regional Medical Center has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in June. She will be away from work for about 3 weeks.
Daniela is 26, worked as a nurse until March, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Vitória da Conquista Regional Medical Center 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $2,100 goes:
• Household costs while unable to work: $380
• Scans and lab work: $350
• Transport to Vitória da Conquista Regional Medical Center: $340
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,030
