Daniela was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in August. The oncology team at Guadalupe Cancer Centre has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 4 weeks. Daniela is 49, worked as a bank teller until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Guadalupe Cancer Centre 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $3,800 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $2,500 • Scans and lab work: $240 • Transport to Guadalupe Cancer Centre: $125 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $175 • Household costs while unable to work: $760 Every share and every dollar helps.
