Since 2023, our volunteer team has run the Harvest Pantry every Thursday from the back of a community center. We started with 29 families, and now we feed 357 each week. Donations have dropped by about 38% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week. We rely on volunteers - 13 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Miami market and keep every receipt. Each $55 feeds a family of four for a week. All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs. Where the $1,700 goes: • Refrigeration and electricity: $185 • Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $890 • Baby formula and diapers: $625 Thank you for reading my story.

Updates from Hadley

  1. Good news. Because of your gifts ($179 in total) I made the first payment toward refrigeration and electricity. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.

  2. Quick update: $80 raised so far (5%). the first invoice got paid this week. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.

  3. Good news. Because of your gifts ($55 in total) the plan for refrigeration and electricity is now scheduled. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
