Damilola is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a diploma in hospitality management at Kano Community College, and is one term away from graduating. She has worked as a barista to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $450. The registrar has said Damilola can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Damilola has a 3.8 average, and an academic advisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Damilola would lose her place and scholarship eligibility. Damilola isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student. Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees. Where the $450 goes: • Textbooks and materials: $20 • Final term tuition: $220 • Outstanding tuition balance: $210 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
