10 rounds of treatment are planned at the Istanbul Oncology Institute; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.

Can was diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer in January. The oncology team at the Istanbul Oncology Institute has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in May. He will be away from work for about 6 weeks.
Can is 39, worked as a construction supervisor until January, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Istanbul Oncology Institute 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $2,550 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,400
• Scans and lab work: $290
• Transport to the Istanbul Oncology Institute: $195
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $220
• Household costs while unable to work: $445

Sure. The biggest one is chemotherapy and medication not covered, $1,400. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Fair thing to want to know.
Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Wish I lived closer to Surat so I could bring a meal.
