I coordinate donations at Baobab Refugee Centre in Fort Worth. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes 4-12. If you're in Fort Worth, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Baobab Refugee Centre on Monday between 10am and 2pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the Baobab Refugee Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone. Thank you for reading my story.

  • Hang in there, Natalie. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected!

    • hope things get better soon. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My husband and I read this together.
