Help Bukola through 4 rounds of treatment for stomach cancer
Supporting Bukola through stomach cancer: medication, transport to Ikeja Regional Medical Center, and living costs while She can't work.
Anywhere in the world1,685 views
Bukola was diagnosed with stomach cancer in February. The oncology team at Ikeja Regional Medical Center has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in May. She will be away from work for about 4 weeks.
Bukola is 34, worked as a bus conductor until February, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Ikeja Regional Medical Center 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $1,650 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,050
• Scans and lab work: $95
• Transport to Ikeja Regional Medical Center: $95
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $135
• Household costs while unable to work: $275
Thanks for reading all this.

Hope it all works out. Your post was clear and honest. We're a small family in Obuasi but we're thinking of you.
Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Bukola.
The list at the bottom is the whole picture. chemotherapy and medication not covered is the biggest at $1,050. Good question.
Thinking of you, Abubakar. Looking forward to the next update. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Blessings!

take care, Abubakar. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like.
Keep going, Abubakar. Wishing Bukola a smooth procedure and a full recovery. Blessings.
Stay strong, Abubakar. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My father had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.
