Help Bat-El pay for a craniotomy at Jerusalem Regional Medical Center
Bat-El needs a craniotomy at Jerusalem Regional Medical Center and the family is $5,300 short of the hospital's estimate.

Bat-El was diagnosed with a hip fracture that never healed properly in July. The surgeon at Jerusalem Regional Medical Center recommended a craniotomy, and She is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $10,500, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $5,300 short.
my mother has been in and out of Jerusalem Regional Medical Center since July. The doctors say a hip fracture that never healed properly will get worse without a craniotomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $10,500 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Bat-El struggles with daily life and can't climb stairs. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 7 weeks. During that time Bat-El won't be able to climb stairs, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $5,300 goes:
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $2,200
• Hospital stay (4 nights): $1,750
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $370
• Post-operative medication: $270
• Physiotherapy sessions: $430
• Travel and lodging for the family: $280
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
