Arturo is facing early-stage lung cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Arturo was diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer in May. The oncology team at the La Plata Oncology Institute has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in July. He will be away from work for about 12 weeks.
Arturo is 29, worked as a bank teller until May, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the La Plata Oncology Institute 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $3,250 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $2,250
• Scans and lab work: $310
• Transport to the La Plata Oncology Institute: $155
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $210
• Household costs while unable to work: $325

Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. chemotherapy and medication not covered comes first ($2,250) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Ask me anything else.
