Help Alok restart a street-food cart in Mumbai after a storm that collapsed the roof
Alok lost a gas stove and two refrigerators to a storm that collapsed the roof and needs $450 to reopen a street-food cart and support the family.

For four years I have run a street-food cart in Mumbai. In April, a storm that collapsed the roof took a gas stove and two refrigerators. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Thursday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 7 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $450 goes:
• Replacing a gas stove and two refrigerators: $210
• Initial stock: ingredients: $100
• Shop repairs and licensing: $75
• Working capital for the first month: $65
Thanks for reading all this.

Best of luck. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Thinking of Mumbai.
