Aileen was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor in June. The surgeon at Taguig General Hospital recommended palate reconstruction surgery, and She is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,250, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $1,000 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Taguig General Hospital since June. The doctors say a benign brain tumor will get worse without palate reconstruction surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,250 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Aileen struggles with daily life and can't look after the children alone. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 6 weeks. During that time Aileen won't be able to look after the children alone, so the costs keep growing.
