Help Adhiambo through 4 rounds of treatment for cervical cancer
Supporting Adhiambo through cervical cancer: medication, transport to the Mbarara Oncology Institute, and living costs while She can't work.
🇺🇬 Uganda753 views
Adhiambo was diagnosed with cervical cancer in December. The oncology team at the Mbarara Oncology Institute has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in February. She will be away from work for about 10 weeks.
Adhiambo is 26, worked as a bakery worker until December, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Mbarara Oncology Institute 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $1,150 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $880
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $70
• Household costs while unable to work: $200
