Help Aarav replace the suspension and return to work

Without my motorbike Aarav can't work; a $250 repair would put him back on the road.

I make my living with my motorbike. 5 weeks ago the suspension failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $250. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my wife and our newborn. Before the breakdown I worked twelve hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal. Where the $250 goes: • Towing and inspection: $15 • suspension replacement (parts): $195 • Road tax and insurance renewal: $40 Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure. - Aarav

Updates from Aarav

  1. Small update. $9 so far, the first invoice got paid this week.

  2. Thank you all. We're at 2% now ($4). I'm honestly stunned. the plan for road tax and insurance renewal is now scheduled.

Towing and inspection is $15 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. Good question.

  • thinking of you, Aarav. Hope the shop reopens soon. All the best.

    • Hang in there. Your post was clear and honest. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Greetings from Montréal
