Hassan served ten years; now needs help to get home
After ten years of service, Hassan is raising funds for a vocational welding course and tools.

I served ten years in the army and was discharged in 2024 with a back injury. I have been waiting nine months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a vocational welding course and tools. The quote I have comes to $1,900.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
Money will be paid to the training provider and the landlord directly.
Where the $1,900 goes:
• Transport to appointments: $560
• Essential household items: $190
• Housing deposit and first month: $1,150
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Thanks for sharing this, Hassan. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like.
I hope things turn around soon. Put this on a community board in Novosibirsk this morning. Thinking of Aberdeen.
