Hadi is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a diploma in hospitality management at Semarang Polytechnic, and is two terms away from graduating. He has worked as a tutor to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $550.
The registrar has said Hadi can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Hadi has a distinction average, and a professor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Hadi would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Hadi isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
