Gustavo needs a lift to Bogotá General Hospital - can you help one day a week?

Could you drive Gustavo to Bogotá General Hospital on Tuesday? A rota of 4 drivers is forming.

Gustavo has been on dialysis for 5 years and until recently drove to Bogotá General Hospital alone. After a minor stroke, Gustavo can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 3 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 21 km each way. Gustavo is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

    • Stay strong, Marisol. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too.
