Gökhan's stomach cancer treatment fund
Gökhan is facing stomach cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Gökhan was diagnosed with stomach cancer in March. The oncology team at Ankara Regional Medical Center has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in May. He will be away from work for about 7 weeks.
Gökhan is 49, worked as a construction supervisor until March, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Ankara Regional Medical Center 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $2,250 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,450
• Scans and lab work: $160
• Transport to Ankara Regional Medical Center: $110
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $185
• Household costs while unable to work: $345
