Could you share an hour a week with Rubina?
An hour a week, a chat, and a cup of tea - that's all Rubina is asking for.

I'm writing for my neighbor Rubina, who's 75. Rubina lives alone in Lahore, and lost a sister last year. The nearest family lives 800 kilometers away.
Rubina loves birdwatching, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Monday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Sending good thoughts, Faisal. Hope the doctors have good news. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Blessings.
This could happen to any of us. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Thinking of Lahore.
keep going, Faisal. Get well soon. After 13 years in teaching I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
Praying for you, Faisal. Looking forward to the next update. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day
Hang in there, Faisal. Shared this with my family. Wish I lived closer to Wudil so I could bring a meal. Love from Tema
Sending love, Faisal. Looking forward to the next update. God bless.
Keep going. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Wish I lived closer to Toulon so I could bring a meal
Wishing you peace. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. It's not much but it's yours
Stay strong. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. God bless.
