Get Winnie back on the road: my motorbike repair fund
Winnie drives for a living in Nakuru, and a broken transmission has stopped all income for 5 weeks.

I make my living with my motorbike. 5 weeks ago the transmission failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $200. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my wife and our newborn. Before the breakdown I worked eleven hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $200 goes:
• transmission replacement (parts): $110
• Labor charges: $60
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $20
• Towing and inspection: $10
Glad we found this place.

You're not alone. Hope the shop reopens soon. Put this on a community board in Abuja this morning. Thinking of Nakuru.
Hope things get better soon. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Take care.
Good luck, Winnie. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too
