Get Sônia back on the road: my tuk-tuk repair fund
Without my tuk-tuk Sônia can't work; a $500 repair would put her back on the road.
🇧🇷 São Paulo, São Paulo, Brazil1,364 views
I make my living with my tuk-tuk. 12 weeks ago the fuel pump failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $500. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my younger brothers and sisters. Before the breakdown I worked ten hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next four months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $500 goes:
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $90
• fuel pump replacement (parts): $360
• Labor charges: $50
Every share and every dollar helps.

Gave what I could, wish it was more. I hope February is when things finally get easier!
Hope it all works out. Small businesses are the heart of São Paulo. Hope you're open again soon. I'm in customer support myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Greetings from Limoges
Sending love, Sônia. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.
