Get Rocío back on the road: my food truck repair fund
Rocío drives for a living in Rockford, and a broken transmission has stopped all income for 6 weeks.

I make my living with my food truck. 6 weeks ago the transmission failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $950. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my wife and our newborn. Before the breakdown I worked twelve hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next four months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $950 goes:
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $135
• transmission replacement (parts): $690
• Labor charges: $125
With deep gratitude,
Rocío
