Get Ngozika back on the road: my food truck repair fund

Without my food truck Ngozika can't work; a $250 repair would put her back on the road.

I make my living with my food truck. 4 weeks ago the suspension failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $250. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my wife and our newborn. Before the breakdown I worked eleven hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal. Where the $250 goes: • Road tax and insurance renewal: $45 • Towing and inspection: $20 • suspension replacement (parts): $185 Every share and every dollar helps.

Updates from Ngozika

  1. Good news. Because of your gifts ($115 in total) I met with the mechanic and confirmed the amounts. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.

  2. Thank you all. We're at 55% now ($138). I'm honestly stunned. I met with the mechanic and confirmed the amounts.
