Independence for Priya: adapted tricycle
Priya needs an adapted tricycle that the health system won't fund; the cost is $2,450.

Priya lives with a spinal cord injury. The occupational therapist at Québec General Hospital has assessed her and recommended an adapted tricycle. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $2,450.
Her current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 4 weeks.
With the right equipment Priya could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $2,450 goes:
• Delivery and set-up: $85
• adapted tricycle: $2,100
• First-year servicing plan: $265
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
