Get Halima back on the road: my motorbike repair fund
Halima drives for a living in Nairobi, and a broken suspension has stopped all income for 4 weeks.

I make my living with my motorbike. 4 weeks ago the suspension failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $150. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my two daughters and my mother. Before the breakdown I worked ten hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next three months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal.
Where the $150 goes:
• Towing and inspection: $10
• suspension replacement (parts): $105
• Labor charges: $35
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Thinking of you and your family, Halima. Your post was clear and honest. I'm in social work myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Love from Üsküdar
Hope you make a strong comeback. Wish I lived closer to New York so I could bring a meal. God bless.
hang in there. Small businesses are the heart of Nairobi. Hope you're open again soon. Wish I lived closer to San Diego so I could bring a meal. Take care.
Thinking of you and your family, Halima. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. All the best.
Hope it all works out. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. I hope January is when things finally get easier. God bless.
