Get Gonzalo back on the road: my taxi repair fund
Gonzalo drives for a living in Austin, and a broken fuel pump has stopped all income for 5 weeks.
🇺🇸 United States1,872 views
I make my living with my taxi. 5 weeks ago the fuel pump failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $1,400. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my family of five. Before the breakdown I worked ten hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $1,400 goes:
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $120
• Towing and inspection: $125
• fuel pump replacement (parts): $1,155
Thanks for being kind about this.

Take care, Gonzalo. Hope you get there. Don't be hard on yourself for asking.
