Justice shouldn't depend on a bank balance: Javier's work-permit appeal
Javier needs $1,550 for filing fees and representation in a work-permit appeal before the November deadline.

I'm facing a work-permit appeal. My hearing is scheduled for November, and the filing fees and the lawyer's retainer come to $1,550. I have been told by three legal-aid offices that their waiting list is longer than my deadline.
I have all of my paperwork ready, and my caseworker at Córdoba Welcome Centre has confirmed that my case is valid.
If I miss the deadline I could lose my right to stay with my family and my job. My children were born here and this is the only home they know.
I'll share any non-sensitive updates as the case moves along.
The money goes to the immigration attorney's trust account and the court filing office. I'll upload receipts with sensitive details removed.
Where the $1,550 goes:
• Filing and biometrics fees: $340
• Attorney retainer: $1,150
• Court-appointed interpreter and travel: $60
If you're reading this, thank you.

Good luck. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. It's not much but it's yours. Love from Nottingham
Hope you get there. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Blessings
Hope it all works out, Javier. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. All the best.
This could happen to any of us. I'm in engineering myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you
Praying for you, Javier. Shared this with my family. Thinking of Córdoba.
