Get Gilbert back on the road: my taxi repair fund
Gilbert drives for a living in Manila, and a broken engine head gasket has stopped all income for 12 weeks.
🇵🇭 Philippines1,508 views
I make my living with my taxi. 12 weeks ago the engine head gasket failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $300. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my 2 children. Before the breakdown I worked twelve hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next three months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $300 goes:
• engine head gasket replacement (parts): $230
• Labor charges: $25
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $45
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
