I make my living with my delivery van. 6 weeks ago the clutch assembly failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $350. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my family of five. Before the breakdown I worked eleven hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal. Where the $350 goes: • clutch assembly replacement (parts): $240 • Labor charges: $65 • Road tax and insurance renewal: $30 • Towing and inspection: $15 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

  • Take care, Carmela. Hope you get there. My neighbor in Boston donated after I showed her your page.

    • Sending love, Carmela. Looking forward to the next update. I'm in engineering myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you.

      • Best of luck, Carmela. Gave what I could, wish it was more. After 20 years in nursing I know how hard it's to ask for anything.

        • I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My neighbor in Medan donated after I showed her your page. Take care

          • Good luck, Carmela. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Don't be hard on yourself for asking.
