I make my living with my food truck. 10 weeks ago the transmission failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $300. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my two daughters and my mother. Before the breakdown I worked nine hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next three months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update. Where the $300 goes: • transmission replacement (parts): $220 • Labor charges: $30 • Road tax and insurance renewal: $30 • Towing and inspection: $20 I hope life is good to you.

Sending good thoughts. This could happen to any of us. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Take care.

Keep going, Amir. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Greetings from Lagos

You're not alone. This could happen to any of us. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. All the best
