Genesis is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a nursing degree at the Sacramento Institute of Technology, and is one term away from graduating. She has worked as a tutor to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $4,450. The registrar has said Genesis can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Genesis has a top-ten-percent average, and a professor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Genesis would lose her place and scholarship eligibility. Genesis isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the the Sacramento Institute of Technology bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $4,450 goes: • Exam and lab fees: $330 • Final term tuition: $1,300 • Outstanding tuition balance: $2,820 Thank you so much.
