Funmilayo needs two washing machines and a dryer to reopen a laundry service
Funmilayo lost two washing machines and a dryer to a break-in and needs $300 to reopen a laundry service and support the family.

For four years I have run a laundry service in Lagos. In March, a break-in took two washing machines and a dryer. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Sunday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 8 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $300 goes:
• Shop repairs and licensing: $95
• Replacing two washing machines and a dryer: $145
• Initial stock: detergent and packaging: $60
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

Thinking of you and your family. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Sent it to 39 people at work
