Funeral costs for Ruth's grandfather, Carter
Ruth lost her grandfather suddenly and the family can't cover funeral and burial costs of $6,000.

Carter, my grandfather, passed away on 31 January after a short illness. He was 33 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $6,000 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 12 February.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Carter to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
The funds will be paid directly to the funeral home, and I'll share the receipt.

• Funeral home services and casket: $3,850
• Transport of the deceased: $430
• Cemetery plot and burial fees: $1,720
