Francois needs my food truck repaired to get back to work in Soweto
Francois's my food truck is Francois's only source of income and needs a rear axle replacement costing $350.
🇿🇦 Soweto, Gauteng, South Africa601 views
I make my living with my food truck. 8 weeks ago the rear axle failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $350. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my 1 children. Before the breakdown I worked twelve hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $350 goes:
• rear axle replacement (parts): $175
• Labor charges: $65
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $70
• Towing and inspection: $40
With deep gratitude,
Francois
