Flood in Swansea: help the Greenfield district rebuild
After the flood, families in the Greenfield district need clean water, roofing materials and bedding.

The flood hit the Greenfield district on 31 August. My home was one of 34 damaged, and 13 families are still in temporary shelter at a borrowed warehouse.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
Funds go to building materials, water purification supplies, bedding, and food for families still in shelters.
Where the $2,900 goes:
• Food parcels for displaced families: $740
• Tools and labor for repairs: $960
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $1,200
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Take care, Sajib. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Thinking of Swansea.
Hope things get better soon. Your post was clear and honest. Don't give up. Love from Kota.
Hope it all works out, Sajib. Great idea, hope you get there.
Stay strong, Sajib. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Put this on a community board in London this morning. God bless
