Flood in Pretoria: help the families of Hillcrest Lane rebuild
The flood damaged 77 homes in the families of Hillcrest Lane. We're raising funds for repairs, supplies and temporary shelter.

The flood hit the families of Hillcrest Lane on 10 February. My home was one of 77 damaged, and 10 families are still in temporary shelter at a mosque and church hall.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
Funds go to building materials, water purification supplies, bedding, and food for families still in shelters.
Where the $1,500 goes:
• Clean water and purification supplies: $115
• Tools and labor for repairs: $450
• Roofing sheets and timber: $540
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $395
With deep gratitude,
Christo

hope it all works out, Christo. This could happen to any of us. My colleague had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. God bless
Is there anything that isn't money that would help Christo?
Sharing the link is the biggest thing. And if you know anything about clean water and purification supplies, advice is welcome too. I'll keep the page updated.
Looking forward to the next update. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. All the best.
thanks for sharing this, Christo. This could happen to any of us.
Good luck. Great idea, hope you get there. My neighbor had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Take care
