Fighting thyroid cancer: help Vishal afford treatment in Regina
12 rounds of treatment are planned at the Regina Oncology Institute; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.

Vishal was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in April. The oncology team at the Regina Oncology Institute has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in June. He will be away from work for about 3 weeks.
Vishal is 44, worked as a bus conductor until April, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Regina Oncology Institute 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.

• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $2,650
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $300
• Household costs while unable to work: $2,300

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Vishal!
Chemotherapy and medication not covered is $2,650 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page.
