Help Rubén restart a roadside café in Los Angeles after a storm that collapsed the roof
Rubén lost an espresso machine and grinder to a storm that collapsed the roof and needs $3,900 to reopen a roadside café and support the family.

For nine years I have run a roadside café in Los Angeles. In February, a storm that collapsed the roof took an espresso machine and grinder. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Monday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 7 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $3,900 goes:
• Replacing an espresso machine and grinder: $1,800
• Initial stock: coffee and pastries: $770
• Shop repairs and licensing: $630
• Working capital for the first month: $700
Thanks for reading all this.

what's already covered and what's the $3,900 for?
Wishing you the best, Rubén. Small businesses are the heart of Los Angeles. Hope you're open again soon. Put this on a community board in Jalandhar this morning.
