Fighting stomach cancer: help Rachel afford treatment in Vancouver
Supporting Rachel through stomach cancer: medication, transport to Vancouver Regional Medical Center, and living costs while She can't work.

Rachel was diagnosed with stomach cancer in June. The oncology team at Vancouver Regional Medical Center has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in August. She will be away from work for about 12 weeks.
Rachel is 46, worked as a farmer until June, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Vancouver Regional Medical Center 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.

• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $6,750
• Scans and lab work: $1,500
• Transport to Vancouver Regional Medical Center: $880
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $460
• Household costs while unable to work: $1,210
