Luca lives with multiple sclerosis. The occupational therapist at Cincinnati General Hospital has assessed him and recommended a cochlear implant processor upgrade. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $7,300. His current equipment is 11 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 6 weeks. With the right equipment Luca could join the school sports day. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
