Loan was diagnosed with stomach cancer in July. The oncology team at Hồ Chí Minh City Cancer Centre has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in September. She will be away from work for about 10 weeks. Loan is 46, worked as a tailor until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Hồ Chí Minh City Cancer Centre 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
