Fighting stomach cancer: help Anita afford treatment in Bengaluru
Anita is facing stomach cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.
Anywhere in the world153 views
Anita was diagnosed with stomach cancer in December. The oncology team at the Bengaluru Oncology Institute has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in March. She will be away from work for about 10 weeks.
Anita is 25, worked as a taxi driver until December, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Bengaluru Oncology Institute 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $750 goes:
• Transport to the Bengaluru Oncology Institute: $80
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $125
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $545
Every share and every dollar helps.

Hope it all works out, Kiara. Wishing Anita a smooth procedure and a full recovery. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected
