Start-up fund for Sergio: reopening a flower stall after a storm that collapsed the roof
Sergio lost display cabinets and a cooler to a storm that collapsed the roof and needs $3,400 to reopen a flower stall and support the family.

For three years I have run a flower stall in Bronx. In August, a storm that collapsed the roof took display cabinets and a cooler. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Wednesday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 12 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $3,400 goes:
• Working capital for the first month: $320
• Initial stock: seasonal flowers: $850
• Replacing display cabinets and a cooler: $2,230
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Sending good thoughts, Sergio. Small businesses are the heart of Bronx. Hope you're open again soon. I'm in logistics myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you.
