Fighting stage 3 ovarian cancer: help Hong afford treatment in Ottawa

Hong was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer in October. The oncology team at Ottawa University Hospital has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in November. She will be away from work for about 3 weeks.
Hong is 36, worked as a cleaner at a hospital until October, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Ottawa University Hospital 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.

• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $8,750
• Scans and lab work: $690
• Transport to Ottawa University Hospital: $540
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $700
• Household costs while unable to work: $1,670
