Fighting prostate cancer: help Shazia afford treatment in Rawalpindi
Shazia is facing prostate cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Shazia was diagnosed with prostate cancer in July. The oncology team at Rawalpindi Cancer Centre has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 5 weeks.
Shazia is 28, worked as a shop owner until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Rawalpindi Cancer Centre 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $900 goes:
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $65
• Transport to Rawalpindi Cancer Centre: $50
• Scans and lab work: $140
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $645
